About Jacki
Campaigner and author of Because You're A Woman, Jacki Rodikis, was born in Gillingham, Kent and educated at Chatham Grammar School for Girls. She moved to London to train as a computer programmer but following her marriage she put all her efforts into developing a successful business with her husband, and raising her three children.
After some twenty five years the marriage ended, mainly as a result of Jacki’s difficult struggle with the manifesting long term effects of the emotional and sexual abuse that she had suffered throughout her childhood. A short, but abusive relationship followed with the ultimate result that she suffered a mental collapse and subsequently spent nine weeks as an inpatient in a psychiatric clinic.
“Though my healing journey has been long and hard, I have been fortunate enough to receive expert help, support and encouragement from a variety of trained and caring people.” Jacki Rodikis
